Beck
Beck is originally from Darlington. After leaving school he worked for a few weeks on his dad’s butchers stall in the covered market and pretty quickly came to the decision that working for a living is a pain in the boll!*$ks.
He attempted to start a band with his mate Tim and after several months of hard jamming in a junk filled garage realized they were slightly worse than shi&$e.
So at the age of 16, Beck packed his bags and jumped on a train to London to find fame and fortune in the city that never sleeps.
Six months later he returned to Darlington knackered, skint and unknown. After a few months working for the Civic Theatre humping scenery around behind the scenes he landed a late night show on a radio station in Worcester called Radio Wyvern…… the boss was a t*!&er so after a year there he was sent to Coventry...... to do the breakfast show on Mercia FM.
Since then he's worked in Preston, Wigan, Manchester and most recently Hull!
Beck says ‘Rock Radio feels like coming home after a very long journey…… I might even give my mate Tim a call and see if he still has that bass’.
